Koinonia

KOINONIA (pronounced koy-nohn-ee’-ah) uses the Greek roots for “common” and “unity” – and has been anglicized to mean community, more specifically, communion by intimate participation.

A retreat for parishioners, led by clergy and laity from Holy Innocents’
beginning on Friday evening and ending on Sunday afternoon, November 7-9, 2008

Koinonia will be held at Holy Innocents’.  You will be returning to your homes on Friday and Saturday evenings and returning to the parish on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

Koinonia is one response to requests for opportunities for spiritual growth, continuing education and social interaction within the Holy Innocents’ parish community and serves as a tool to empower our ministries and our mission.

Koinonia is a segmented, structured program with talks given by clergy and laity, shares group activities, music, fellowship, fun and worship.

All meals, beginning with dinner on Friday evening, breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast and lunch on Sunday will be provided.

There will be childcare provided, if needed, including meals for the entire weekend.

Bring yourself!  Your requirement for the weekend is that you simply show up and commit to attending all sessions, Friday through Sunday.  This is extremely important as the weekend is structured to build on each segment.

There will be a minimal fee for materials, etc. of $20.00 per participant.  This fee is to be submitted with the attached application.
