Children’s Education

NURSERY CARE FOR OUR YOUNGEST CHILDREN

During our 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Sunday morning worship services, we offer a nursery for newborns, and a separate nursery for children ages 1-3.

We also offer nursery care at different church-wide events, including “The Gathering” on Wednesday nights.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FOR OUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOL CHILDREN

While we traditionally offer Christian Education for children ages 4-5th grade during the hour between our Sunday morning worship services, we have suspended that program for the remainder of the 2016-17 school year.

We offer a new Young People’s Worship during the 10:30 a.m. service, where children ages 4 and up leave early on in the regular service, and are led to Kiser Hall by a priest and a deacon. There they participate in worship geared specifically for them, including live music, story time, and lessons. They rejoin the adults prior to the Eucharist. Youth are welcome to serve as mentors to the children.

There is also a time for children during “The Gathering” on Wednesday nights. As with worship on Sunday mornings, the children stay with adults in the Parish Hall during the worship portion of the evening until 7:00, when the discussion time begins for the adults. At 7:00, the children go to the choir room for children’s choir practice.
