What is your favorite scripture verse or passage?
There are so many, and it varies according to what season I happen to be in at the time. But one I have dwelt upon often is Jeremiah 29:11 - "I know the plans I have for you, plans for your welfare and not for harm, to give you a future with hope." Sometimes I just need the 23rd Psalm. St. Paul reminds me in I Corinthians 13:13, "And now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; and the greatest of these is love."

What is your favorite part of being on the church vestry?
I have only been a member of Holy Innocents for about 18 months. But having served in various ministries in the Episcopal Church for the past 15 years. I received the most from serving on the vestry and as warden in my last parish. Being an integral part of the church family gave me the insight and appreciation of what others give to our house of God. You gain humility and are rewarded by the fellowship and the ministries of the congregation.

What is your favorite scripture verse or passage?
One of my favorite passages is from Revelations 19:11 – I believe God was speaking to me at a time I needed to hear from him. “I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True.” This is your White Knight, the only one you ever need to love. He will love you forever as you are and will never leave you. It was a moment in my life that gave me strength and made me realize that as long as Jesus was the core of my life, I would never again be alone. 139
